The Pie Guys: Making Pies Great Again
since fairly recently
We believe that pretty much everything is better when encased in pastry. Yeah, okay, watermelon. But everything else.
We believe that what goes into pies needs to be of the highest quality: no short cuts inside the shortcrust, thank you.
We believe that the world, including most people who make pies, have forgotten these things.
We aim to put that right.
Ingredients + Skill + Care = Magic
Our pastry is all-butter which comes from North Cork Creameries.
All of our exclusively Free-Range Chicken comes from our friends at East Ferry Farms.
Our Grass-fed Beef comes from the fine folks at Caherbeg in West Cork, all of it lean prime cuts. Caherbeg also supply us with equally wonderful Free-Range Pork from their own farm.
Vegetables are local/Irish whenever possible and in season.
We use Knockanore Smoked Cheddar and Ardsallagh Goat’s Cheese among others - and Dubliner Mature for that unmistakable twang.
The huge variety of spices and condiments we use comes from the incomparable Mr Bell’s Providers, our neighbours in The English Market.
And at the risk of a little bragging, we know what to do with these wonderful ingredients and we do not cut corners. You will know that the second you run your fork through your first Pie Guys pie. These people certainly did……

Creamy chicken and Tarragon
Free-range chicken thigh meat in a creamy tarragon Béchamel
Sweet Potato, Mushroom and Smoked Cheese (v)
Layers of tender, caramelised vegetables in a tangy smoked cheddar cheese sauce
Butter Chicken
Boneless free-range chicken thighs in a rich buttery sauce with ginger, garlic, yoghurt and Indian spices.
Tex-Mex Beef Chilli
Richly-flavored chilli with prime Irish ground beef, black beans, peppers, coriander and Frank’s Hot Sauce.
Beef & Dubliner Cheese
Ground Irish grass-fed beef in a rich herby gravy, laced with tangy Dubliner Mature cheese
Roast Vegetables with Pesto and Ardsallagh Goat’s Cheese (v)
Caramelised local seasonal vegetables tossed in Pesto with a ball of melting Goat’s cheese inside
